We’ve already taken a look at the world’s biggest casinos – huge entertainment venues that span thousands of square feet, packed with hundreds of games, bars, restaurants and other thrilling attractions too. But dynamite comes in small packages, as they say, and while there’s plenty of fun to be found in giant casinos, there’s just as much excitement to be had in tiny ones as well. Don’t believe us? Come on a tour of the world’s smallest casinos and judge for yourself!

Slots-A-Fun Casino – Las Vegas, USA
We’re sold on the name already – bring on the slots, and bring on the fun! It’s Slots-A-Fun Casino and it’s been a Vegas favourite ever since its opening in 1971. Of course it’s more than just an ordinary Sin City casino – it’s an attraction all its own, thanks to its minute size. Built in the area that used to be filled by the Circus Circus merry-go-round, Slots-A-Fun might be small in floor area but it’s huge in entertainment, packing in arcade games, slots games, table games, and even a bowling alley and bar too. Plus with its stylish retro feel, it’s a unique casino experience all its own. Anyone can go to Caesars Palace, the Bellagio or the MGM Grand – but if you go to Slots-A-Fun, you’ll have experienced the real Las Vegas for yourself. And that’s worth more than the price of any bet you’ll place.

Macau Palace – Macau, China
As one of the world’s premier gaming destinations, it should come as no surprise that Macau isn’t just about giant casinos – it’s about tiny ones as well. Enter the Macau Palace, a floating casino that once served as a location for the James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. We don’t know if it served its martinis shaken or stirred, but we do know that it offered a unique gaming environment, and a cosy betting space with 10 live table games and an area for slots too. Known to locals as the ‘Pirate Ship’, this casino has sadly long since shut up shop, and been moved from its mooring in Fisherman’s Wharf. These days it’s more of a talking point than a gaming venue, but it’s one that’ll be remembered for its character and individuality – and of course, its contribution to amazing spy films.

AirJet Designs – Boeing 777
Here’s an idea that hasn’t quite taken off yet (haha, you’ll see what we mean) but it’s one that’s still ingenious, nonetheless. Forget about casinos on land, or even on water – this casino is one that was designed to take to the skies, aboard a Boeing 777! Devised by Jean-Pierre Alfano of AirJet Designs, this futuristic casino was meant to hearken back to the days when air travel was an experience in itself, rather than a method of transport from point A to point B. After all, what’s more luxurious than dressing up in your best, and gambling in an exclusive space while making your way across the heavens? Although this concept has been grounded since 2015, we hope it’ll eventually get its wings. After all, there’s nothing like sky-high wagers!

Saloon #10 – Deadwood, South Dakota, USA
We don’t know what happened to the other nine saloons, but this one here is Saloon #10 in Deadwood, North Dakota, and from its ferocious history, we’re assuming that all other saloons in the area simply took off in fear.

If you’re looking to get back to the days of the Wild, Wild West, and gamble like real frontiersmen used to do, then we suggest you book yourself a ticket to North Dakota right away. Get ready though, because the minute you step through the door of Saloon #10, you’ll be taking a step back in time too, all the way to the days of the Gold Rush. In fact, Saloon #10 is the same place that famous Wild Bill Hickok was shot, holding his infamous hand of aces and eights – so maybe don’t stand with your back to the door, just in case.

You might be familiar with Deadwood thanks to the TV series of the same name, and Saloon #10 delivers all the Old West atmosphere you’re looking for and more. Packed full of photos and pieces of history from days gone by, the saloon doubles as a casino, with slot machines and Blackjack tables furnishing its 3,000 square foot floor space. It might not be the biggest casino by area, but it’s one of the biggest by character alone – and that’s what makes a visit to the saloon such a unique experience. Get your cowboy hat and boots on, we’re going to the saloon, and we’re going to enjoy a piece of US history with every bet we place. No gunfights here, just good old fashioned casino excitement!

Deltin Royale – Goa, India
We’re not done with floating casinos yet, and this time we’re going all the way to India to find one that’s still in operation, and delivering thrill-a-minute gaming excitement at the same time! Welcome aboard the Deltin Royale – a casino on the Mandovi River in Goa, India, and one that cleverly bypasses Indian gambling laws by taking its players out onto international waters to place their bets. So if you’re looking for a boat ride and a way to gamble, the Deltin Royale lets you kill two birds with one casino chip.

While it may not be one of the world’s biggest casinos, it’s certainly one of the most entertaining, with a range of Poker, Roulette, Baccarat, Blackjack and other games on offer, across 17 tables. Choose your favourite, make your wager, and enjoy a completely unique gambling experience from start to finish. Then once you’re done, you’ll be taken back to dry land – maybe even with a win in your pocket, if Lady Luck has anything to say about it. All aboard for casino winnings and a gambling experience like none other!

Intrigued by any of our diminutive casinos? Don’t let them fool you – they may be small in size, but that doesn’t mean they can’t pay out big winnings! So maybe next time you’re in the mood to play your favourite casino games and enjoy a unique experience at the same time, you might want to give one of these a try. What they lack in floor space, they more than make up for in atmosphere, and huge exhilaration as well!
