Thank you for talking to us Jeremy Coleman. To start, can you give us an overview of Bunny Loot Christmas Carrots™, and describe the gameplay experience it offers?

Bunny Loot Christmas Carrots™ is the festive sequel to Bunny Loot™, which was one of our biggest hits last year. This time, our mischievous bunny is diving into Christmas with his usual larger-than-life personality.

In terms of the gameplay, it’s lively and full of variety. The Bunny Collect, a standout feature, sees our coin-crazy bunny amassing coins that can land on the reels, with the potential to boost cash or jackpot values, or become a wild to satisfy those win lines for an engaging game experience. We also have our two elves Jingle and Jangle who bring extra activity to the reels with trails and coin stacks that would put Santa to shame!

On top of all of that, BunnyTastic Zones can reveal multipliers from 2x up to 100x, adding another layer to the experience.

Overall, it’s colourful, fast-paced, and carries that signature Pear Fiction charm. It offers engaging entertainment for the season while steering clear of the usual festive clichés. The original Bunny Loot™ slot was released around this time last year. How long have you been planning for a follow-up title, and did you always want it to be a seasonal slot?

We knew pretty quickly after the first Bunny Loot™ launched that it was only the beginning of the Bunny series. The character just took off, operators loved him, players connected with him, and internally, he became a bit of a studio favourite so a sequel felt inevitable.

A seasonal sequel wasn’t part of the initial plan, but the timing made perfect sense. December is a great opportunity for themed content, and we wanted something distinctive from the usual festive fare. And if any character can shake up Christmas with humour and energy, it’s our bunny.

What differences are there between the original title Bunny Loot™ and Bunny Loot Christmas Carrots™ when it comes to features and mechanics?

We kept everything players loved about the original Bunny Loot™, the pace, the personality, the collect-based mechanics, but expanded the experience in several ways.

In Bunny Loot Christmas Carrots™, you’ll see a dual-elf system where Jingle and Jangle can drop stacks, trails, and moving multipliers across the reels. They can also initiate the Free Spins feature, with the Orange Carrot Collection activating both Free Spins features for an engaging bonus round.

We also enhanced the Boost, Improve, and Nudge effects, adding more visually joyous energy to gameplay. Finally, the BunnyTastic Zone includes multipliers from 2x to 100x, bringing even greater win potential. The DNA is the same, but the scale, personality, and the level of action are definitely dialed up.

What considerations do you have to make when developing a seasonal slot, does it differ much from creating a title any other time of the year?

Yes and no. Seasonal slots are definitely a balancing act as you want the game to feel merry and instantly recognisable for the season, but you also don’t want it to disappear the moment the decorations come down. For us, that meant building a Christmas game that still has a strong identity underneath the theme. The humour, the mechanics, the pacing, all of that must stand on its own, because people will still be playing well after December.

The cheerful elements are there to enhance the experience, not carry it. So yes, building a seasonal title does feel different… mainly because it forces you to be more deliberate. Every design choice has to earn its place, and the game has to offer something that’s enjoyable for players whether it’s Christmas Day or the middle of June.

Are there any plans to further expand the Bunny Loot™ series in future releases, perhaps with other seasonal or classic themes?

Let’s just say… the Bunny has range. He’s become a hugely recognisable character, so there’s definitely room for him to hop into more adventures down the line. We’re not announcing anything right now, but the door is very much open. Where he turns up next? Your guess is as good as mine…

What future releases can we look forward to from PearFiction Studios™ in 2026?

2026 is shaping up to be a milestone year for PearFiction, with VoltedUP WildSurge™ and 4 Spicy Frenzy Loot Collect™ kicking things off in January and February. We’re also bringing back one of our legacy hits with Chicago Gold 2TM, a true cult classic getting the PearFiction glow-up treatment.

And… did someone say Granny?
