Baccarat
A casino card game played against the house, with 2 hands of 2 or 3 cards each; the player’s hand and the banker’s hand. The objective is to bet on the hand with the value that sums up closest to 9, or a tie bet.
Baccarat is a popular card game often played in casinos, known for its simple rules and high-stakes betting. The game typically involves two hands: the "Player" and the "Banker." Players can place bets on either hand winning, or on a tie.
The objective of baccarat is to bet on the hand that you believe will have a total value closest to nine. Each hand is dealt two cards, and the values are calculated by adding the card values together, with face cards (Kings, Queens, Jacks) and tens counting as zero, and Aces counting as one. If the total exceeds nine, only the second digit of the total is considered (for example, a total of 15 is counted as 5).
Baccarat has several variations, including Punto Banco, Chemin de Fer, and Baccarat Banque, with Punto Banco being the most commonly played version in casinos worldwide. The game is known for its elegance and is often associated with high rollers and luxury gaming environments.
