Inside Bets
In roulette, the bets placed inside the numbers or a combination of numbers.
In the context of casino gambling, particularly in games like craps and roulette, "inside bets" refer to wagers placed on specific numbers or combinations of numbers on the game layout.
In roulette, inside bets are made on individual numbers or small groups of numbers located on the inner part of the betting layout, such as:
- Straight Up: Betting on a single number.
- Split: Betting on two adjacent numbers.
- Street: Betting on a row of three numbers.
- Corner: Betting on four numbers that meet at a corner.
- Six Line: Betting on two adjacent rows of three numbers each.
In craps, inside bets typically refer to bets placed on the numbers 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, which are located on the inside of the craps table layout. These bets can include:
- Place Bets: Betting on specific numbers (5, 6, 8, 9) to be rolled before a 7.
- Buy Bets: Similar to place bets but with a higher payout and a commission paid to the house.
Inside bets generally have higher payouts but also come with a higher risk compared to outside bets, which cover larger groups of numbers or outcomes (like red/black or odd/even).
