Pass
In card games, to not bet, or to fold.
In the context of casino gambling, particularly in the game of craps, the term "pass" refers to a type of bet known as the "pass line bet." This is one of the most basic bets in craps.
When a player makes a pass line bet, they are betting that the shooter (the player rolling the dice) will win. The shooter wins on the come-out roll (the initial roll of the dice) if they roll a 7 or 11. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12, the pass line bet loses. If any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) is rolled, that number becomes the "point." The shooter must then roll the point number again before rolling a 7 in order for the pass line bet to win.
In summary, "pass" in this context is associated with the pass line bet in craps, indicating a wager on the shooter winning the round.
