Point
The number that is established on the come-out roll. Only place numbers (4,5,6,8,9,10) can become the point. The shooter will attempt to repeat throwing the point before throwing a 7 in order to win that round of betting.
In the context of casino gambling, particularly in games like craps, the term "point" refers to a specific number that is established during the game. Here’s how it works:
Establishing the Point: When a player rolls a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll (the first roll of the dice), they win. However, if they roll a 2, 3, or 12, they lose. If they roll any other number (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10), that number becomes the "point."
Objective: Once the point is established, the player's goal is to roll that same number again before rolling a 7. If the player rolls the point number again, they win. If they roll a 7 before rolling the point number, they lose.
The term "point" is crucial in understanding the strategy and dynamics of the game of craps.
