Change the way you play with the new GambleAware app

We joke about there being an app for everything, but these days there pretty much is – especially with the new responsible gambling app recently launched by GambleAware.
Designed to prevent and manage gambling-related issues, the app is primarily targeted at 18 to 24-year-olds, however it offers free and anonymous support to gamblers of all ages.
If you’re looking to cut down on the amount of time you spend gambling. Or you want to stop altogether, downloading the app is the first step. Once you do, you’ll be able to set yourself personal goals while the app tracks your gambling activity and spend. And offers advice based on the data it collects. The more you continue working towards your goals with the app. The more you’ll be able to make better decisions about your gambling and the amount of money you spend on it.
This new app is a huge plus for the industry
The development of the app comes as a result of two previous surveys. Showing that 29% of 18 to 24-year-olds want to cut down on their gambling or cut it out altogether. And that 93% of those who want to reduce their gambling want to do so without professional support. The GambleAware app gives gamblers just this opportunity. Guidance and advice on problem gambling with no need for formal intervention.
“The digital age means we essentially have a casino in our pocket. And we know increased accessibility leads to increased participation and therefore increased risk of harm,” says Alexia Clifford, GambleAware chief communications officer. We look forward to seeing just how positive an impact the new app will have. And we support its intention, its goals, and its ultimate success.
