Blackjack
A casino card game in which the player’s objective is to form a hand that is the closest to 21 points as possible without busting.
Blackjack is a popular card game typically played in casinos, also known as 21. The objective of the game is for players to achieve a hand value that is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand without exceeding 21.
In Blackjack, each player is dealt two cards, and they can choose to "hit" (take another card) or "stand" (keep their current hand). The cards numbered 2 through 10 are worth their face value, while face cards (kings, queens, and jacks) are worth 10, and aces can be worth either 1 or 11, depending on what benefits the hand more.
If a player's hand exceeds 21, they "bust" and lose the round. If a player has a hand value of 21 with their initial two cards (an ace and a 10-value card), it is called a "blackjack," which usually pays out at a higher rate than a regular win.
Players compete against the dealer, not against each other, and the dealer must follow specific rules for drawing cards. The game combines elements of skill and chance, making it a favorite among many gamblers.
