All American Video Poker is a very common video poker variant found in most land-based and online casinos. It has been duplicated by a multitude of gaming software developers. All American Video Poker is a straight-forward game of Jacks or Better where the payer can achieve a higher payout for the best hand ““ a Royal Flush ““ when betting the maximum number of coins. All other hand ranks pay an evenly multiplied payout according to the number of coins bet. The end result is a higher payout percentage when betting the maximum 5 coins.

How to Play All American Video Poker

To play All American Video Poker at a Microgaming powered online casino, you will need to know what each of the buttons does. The first buttons you will use are the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons, which change the denomination of each coin bet. Next, you will use either the Bet One button to bet a single coin at a time (pressing the button again inserts an additional coin), or the Bet Max button to bet 5 coins. When using Bet Max, the game will begin instantly. Otherwise, press the Deal button to place the bet and start the game.

You will be dealt 5 cards, all face-up. Note that this version of the online video poker game applies an instant strategy. Whatever cards would be best suited to develop a winning hand are automatically marked HELD. You are NOT required to keep these cards. It is only the strategic advice of the video poker machine. To change the status of any card from HELD to un-held, or vice versa, simply click on that card.

All American Video Poker Double Feature

The Double feature is a quick game of High-Low in which players can double their original winnings. Five cards are dealt, the first face-up and the rest face down. The first card is the card to beat. The player then chooses one of the remaining cards. If this card is higher than the first one, the player doubles their winnings. If not, the entire bet is lost and the game screen returns to the traditional All American Video Poker game.

If the player wins the Double round, they can choose to Double again, or Collect the winnings and return to the standard video poker screen.
